Digi16
From ECCWiki
The Digi16 expansion card adds an additional 12 outputs and 4 digital inputs (dins). It utilizes the BCS expansion port, by wiring the Exp0 and Exp1 pins. Currently, the Digi16 is only available as a bare card, it is not in an enclosure.
[edit] Programming
The Digi16 is enabled in the System Settings page. By enabling the expansion card in the System Settings page, controls in the Add/Edit State Machines page are made visible. Each Digi16 expansion card has a set of solder jumpers to determine if its addressed as Digi16 Exp0, Exp1, Exp2, or Exp3. The jumpers are defaulted to 0, and can be shipped as other values upon request (comments to seller in the order page).
To assert Digi16 outputs, check the Control box for the Digi16 to be controlled in the desired state, and then check on/off for each individual output.
Digi16 inputs can cause state transitions similar to regular Dins. They are selectable in the Exit Conditions pulldown as DinEab, where a=expansion addr, and b=din#. For example, DinE3 on Digi16 expansion card 2 would be DinE23.
The asserted outputs will be displayed in binary in the Current State Output table, similar to other outputs. The display is not zero padded.
[edit] Wiring
The Digi16 comes in two flavors, with Power, and without Power. They are identical, except the Powered version includes an onboard voltage regulator, and an AC transformer. The +5VDC pin of the BCS can power one Digi16, but not more than one. In systems utilizing two or more Digi16's, the Power option should be used. In addition, a Powered Digi16 can supply power to one Unpowered Digi16. Note: never connect the +5VDC pins of two powered devices (including the BCS).
BCS supplying power to a single Digi16. Firmware 2.0+ required.
Two Digi16 system, with the Powered Digi16 supplying the Unpowered Digi16. Note that the +5VDC pins of the BCS and the Powered Digi16 are NOT connected. Firmware 2.1+ required.
Four Digi16 system. In this example the BCS is not powering a Digi16. There are two Powered Digi16's, each providing power to an Unpowered Digi16. Firmware 2.1+ required.
